ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITYEnvironmental Responsibility
Adhering to its core mission of environmental protection, the Group integrates the concept of sustainable development into every business operation. We have not only taken the lead in using electric machinery and equipment, but also actively plan to introduce more new energy equipment in the future, fully promote the application of the Smart Site Safety System (4S), and develop the solar photovoltaic business. Going forward, we will continue to promote our sustainable development philosophy, continuously improve our environmental standards, and strive to achieve excellent environmental management results in each project, thus creating a win-win situation for both business growth and environmental protection. We are committed to setting a benchmark for environmental standards in the construction industry and creating a greener and more sustainable built environment for Hong Kong.
Major Environmental Management Measures
Air Pollution Emission Control
· Use of new energy equipment
We commenced the transition to new energy equipment in 2023, replacing non-renewable energy sources with clean energy to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and reduce emissions of air pollutants.
· Promotion of environmentally friendly vehicles
Actively introducing electric vehicles to gradually replace traditional diesel equipment to reduce emissions.
· Optimisation of employee driving behaviour
Encouraging employees to plan travel routes and use public transportation to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption.
Exhaust & Greenhouse Gas Emission Management
· Dust control
Using silent, high-pressure electric sprayers during the construction process, and requiring employees to wear dust masks to reduce the impact of dust on the environment and their health.
· Greenhouse gas emission reduction
Reducing diesel consumption and implementing energy conservation measures in the office, such as prioritising energy-efficient equipment and emphasising the use of energy-efficient appliances.
Waste Management
· Disposal of construction waste
The waste generated from construction is classified and treated in accordance with the Waste Disposal Ordinance and Environmental Protection Department guidelines, and is collected and transported to landfills by approved service providers.
· Resource recycling
We encourage employees to sort and recycle reusable and recyclable materials, and implement measures such as paper conservation in daily operations.
Energy & Water Consumption Management
· New energy use
Since 2023, traditional diesel equipment has been gradually replaced with electric equipment to reduce the use of non-renewable energy.
· Energy conservation measures
Posting reminders in offices to turn off unused electrical appliances and purchasing energy-efficient electrical appliances to improve energy efficiency.
· Water conservation measures
Encouraging employees to conserve water, thereby reducing water consumption and associated carbon emissions.
Environmental management policy
· Environmental management system
An environmental management system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 has been established to ensure that all projects and operations comply with environmental regulations.
· Environmental management plan
We have established and implemented the environmental management plan for each project, and we will regularly review and update the plan to effectively manage environmental risks.
